Piano Lessons

Learning to play piano presents a fantastic way to explore elements of music including melody, harmony, rhythm, dynamics, and touch. The layout of the keyboard itself gives clues as to how notes are grouped into scales, and how scales of notes are related to each other. As soon as we sit to play, we can make a sound, we can play notes separately and together, loudly and softly. Today, there is a wide variety of approaches to studying piano designed for people of all ages and backgrounds.

Tailored for You

At Rachel’s Music Centre, we recognise that each piano student comes to lessons with their own interests, capacities and approaches to learning. Things they find to be fun and interesting, and things not so much so! It is with this in mind that pieces, workbooks and other teaching resources are selected, and lessons are designed for each student as they continue through their learning process.

At Rachel’s Music Centre, students of piano can prepare for exam boards including: RIAM, ABRSM, Trinity College London, Rockschool
